Kenya has been invited to participate in two prestigious international competitions: the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2026, to be held in Shanghai, China, from 10thโ€“20th July 2026, and the Pan African Mathematical Olympiad (PAMO) 2026, to be hosted in the Ivory Coast from 26th June- 4th July 2026.

The Kenyan teams will consist of six outstanding students for each contest, carefully selected through the rigorous Kenya Mathematical Olympiad (KMO) process, a collaboration between Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA), the University of Nairobi, and the Center for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC) at the University of Waterloo.

To facilitate Kenya’s participation, we are seeking financial support of Ksh 5.55 million to support the team.
